Hi there! Welcome to my blog. Other than photography, writing has always been a passion of mine. I regularly keep a journal, I'm known for my extra long emails, and yes, I even wrote a dissertation. Go Penn State! So, as Pringle Photography began to grow, it seemed only natural to retire the paper journal and begin this online adventure. I will use this site for posting pictures and stories from weddings and other photo shoots, and also for sharing personal pictures of the people and places we love. To our super cool clients, Scott and I are truly honored that you chose us to capture your memories. We hope that you enjoy the sneak peek of your photos. To our prospective clients, hopefully this will give you a little taste of what it’s like to work with us, and the kind of images you can expect. Thanks for stopping by! ~Kristine **PS - to view exclusively weddings, engagement sessions, or lifestyle photography, use the "categories" link above.

| My Brother's Wedding |

On June 27th, Scott and I photographed a VERY special wedding, for my brother Mark and his beautiful wife Jessica. An intimate ceremony and reception were held at The William Cox Inn in Charlottesville, Virginia, and we couldn't have asked for a better day. The Inn was absolutely incredible, and everyone was able to stay there because it is 10,000 square feet. We literally got lost inside! And the grounds, well, they were definitely a photographer's dream come true. I could have spent their entire reception doing photos! We also had gorgeous weather, and we spent our portrait time during "the golden hour" thanks to good planning by Mark and Jess!
To digress though, I have to share what an awesome story Mark and Jess have. Mark had been wanting to go to Costa Rica to surf for at least 10 years, and finally, 3 years ago, he went there with a few of his friends. Jessica, who lived in Minnesota at the time, happened to be in Costa Rica with some of her girlfriends during the exact same week. They met on day 2 of their vacation and spent the majority of their time together. The rest is pretty much history. How amazing that what started out as a long distance romance and lots of flights between Minnesota and Virginia has now turned into a lifetime together.
Jessica and Mark live in Richmond with their two adorable pups, Kaya and Kodi, and they were recently blessed with the exciting news that they are expecting a baby girl this October. Her name will be Vivienne, and we are all so excited to meet her! Wanting to get married before the baby arrived, Jess and Mark planned their wedding in just a few months, and every little detail turned out perfect. I cannot wait to share the moments, details, and portraits that we captured on that beautiful day. Enjoy!
I started the day with Jessica's gorgeous dress...
And some getting ready shots. The girls were so cute in their white bathrobes.
Mark was really calm and ready to see his beautiful bride.
Jess, you were so completely stunning! Beautiful inside and out, I am so proud to call you my new sister!
Pretty typical - I love letting brides peek at the pictures!
My brother was looking as handsome as I had ever seen him. Yep, he's got good looks and brains too - he designed our entire photography website and blog from scratch, as in no template, just 100% computer nerd coding! ;-)
Not only is he a talented web designer, he is also one of the funniest and nicest people you will ever meet, and he is definitely one of my best friends. Love you bro!
Thanks to my amazing husband for getting those great shots! We worked the wedding, but managed to get in some photos too!
Our daughter Elsa even got in on the action. She loved Uncle Mark's flower and almost broke it pre-ceremony.
Thankfully it stayed intact. I LOVE Jess's taste.
Her bouquet was awesome. Lillies are some of my favorites!
Onto the ceremony. Seriously, could you ask for a better view?!!
They had the beautiful mountains to the front, and the beautiful Inn behind them.
There were moments of sincerity...
And moments of laughter that I loved capturing.
After the ceremony, we did a bunch of portraits. A classic close-up...
A modern full-length shot...
And some with their little miracle in the making.
This one just gets me. Baby Vivienne is very blessed to have parents like Mark & Jess.
Ahhh, the sweet golden light appeared!
And Scott wins for my favorite portrait. I love this silhouette with the glowing wheat in the foreground!
We even managed to get one with Kodi & Kaya real quick.
And of course I had to show the bling!
Jess spent a lot of time daydreaming about what the dinner table would look like, and this is what she came up with - it belongs in a magazine! The reception was held in the gorgeous barn behind the Inn.
The centerpieces were Pottery Barn lanterns and silver pails of ivy, roses & lilies.
After an amazing dinner, Jess and Mark shared their first dance.
And then the parent dances took place. Jess and her Dad were so cute.
Our Mom made it 3/4 way through the song without crying, but we knew it was coming. I love this moment shared between 2 people I love so much.
After some toasts and cake cutting, it was party time!
The newlyweds had a blast showing off their moves...
Until the sheriff came to see what all the noise was about. After realizing it was a wedding though, he turned on his lights and let Mark & Jess pose with his car. I love this shot I snagged using high ISO and the lights from the siren. Flash would have ruined all those cool colors!
And a fun high ISO shot by Scott. The dance floor was packed all night, thanks to a great DJ and our really fun families and friends!
Mark & Jess, thanks for being such a great bro & sis! We love you both! Congratulations! Love, Kris & Scott
