Hi there! Welcome to my blog. Other than photography, writing has always been a passion of mine. I regularly keep a journal, I'm known for my extra long emails, and yes, I even wrote a dissertation. Go Penn State! So, as Pringle Photography began to grow, it seemed only natural to retire the paper journal and begin this online adventure. I will use this site for posting pictures and stories from weddings and other photo shoots, and also for sharing personal pictures of the people and places we love. To our super cool clients, Scott and I are truly honored that you chose us to capture your memories. We hope that you enjoy the sneak peek of your photos. To our prospective clients, hopefully this will give you a little taste of what it’s like to work with us, and the kind of images you can expect. Thanks for stopping by! ~Kristine **PS - to view exclusively weddings, engagement sessions, or lifestyle photography, use the "categories" link above.

Tara and Chad's Wedding
06.25.10

On Saturday June 12th, Scott and I headed back up to Pennsylvania for another fabulous wedding. Tara and Chad were married at the Priestly Savidge House in Northumberland, and it was such a perfect day -- perfect weather, perfect golden light, perfect venue, perfect couple.
This was the first time we had done a wedding at the Priestly Savidge House (it is a relatively new venue), and it definitely lived up to expectations. An outdoor ceremony and tented reception were both held on the grounds.
I started the day with a few detail shots -- like Tara's gorgeous shoes and dress.
And then I found the girls getting ready in the house. I was in love with Tara's veil.
She is the first bride I've ever photographed wearing a birdcage veil, and oh my goodness, what a first she was! She is breathtaking and belongs in a magazine!
Had to show a full-length shot too.
Scott and I then headed across the street to find the handsome groom and the guys in a recording studio.
Onto the ceremony. So so pretty!
I think Chad's ring was a little tight.
And it definitely made for some great candid moments.
Then it was portrait time. Another beautiful wedding party -- and such cute dresses!
We did a few landscapes to show the amazing grounds...
But I have to say that the close-ups are my favorites. Tara and Chad are so natural in front of the camera.
And they are so fun! They were willing to try anything, even if it meant a little teasing from Chad's buddies. ;-) Onto the reception!
Have you ever seen such a gorgeous tent!?! Scott did an amazing job with this panorama shot.
The toasts happened first, and they were definitely a hit.
And then it was time for the first dance. These 2 had some moves...and more to come on that later.
So I usually only show garter and bouquet photos if they have a lot of personality or something different about them.
Well, these garter shots definitely have personality. Have you ever seen such a good-looking group of men look so excited about catching the garter?? It's like, "Pick me, pick me!"
And here is another Pringle Photography first. I've never seen 2 guys tug so hard over the garter that it actually broke. Way. Too. Funny.
Tara and Chad have great friends, and we had a great time photographing them tearing up the dance floor.
It was seriously non-stop entertainment. First it was "Shout".
And then a conga line that went outside of the tent. I love the slow shutter speed motion in this shot.
Then it was an awesome Michael Jackson dance, compliments of the groom.
And this is what happened when he was done. Might be my favorite shot of the day.
Though with these two, it's really hard to pick. This is 100% candid, taken with a big zoom as they took a break from dancing toward the end of the night. You guys are just darling!
And we are so thrilled to have been a part of your big day!
Congratulations and thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We are so happy for you and we hope you love the little preview of your images! Hugs! Kristine & Scott

My Beautiful Niece Viv
06.22.10

My brother Mark and his wife Jessica have the most beautiful 8-month old baby girl named Vivienne, and if you've read my blog before, then you may remember seeing her picture. I love taking pictures of my pretty little niece, but I've been so busy recently that it has been like 4 months since I've blogged any of her. The time just flies, and Viv is growing and changing so fast. So it was definitely time for an update. Here is what she's been up to lately. Enjoy!
Viv's bright eyes and smile totally melt your heart.
She is such a happy baby. I took about 80 photos of her playing in the exersaucer one day, so of course I couldn't pick just one. Though my favorite may be on the top left -- the one with the cute lip twist going on.
Viv was baptized on Mother's Day, so it was a very special day for our entire family. I'm pretty sure she loves my camera (look at the pose)!
And it definitely loves her...so instead of random pictures here and there, I decided we needed to do another session. Something a little more official...
...Something that would show the amazing love their family is blessed to know.
Happy belated 1st Father's Day to my handsome bro!
He is a lucky man to have these 2 beauties in his life.
So we were approaching morning nap time. Uh oh. What to do.
Good thing my singing makes her smile. This was just seconds later.
Viv, you are so so sweet!
On Sunday 6/27, Mark and Jess will celebrate their first wedding anniversary.
Last year, Viv was a tiny peanut in Jess's belly, and they couldn't wait to become parents. They were totally glowing, and it was by far the happiest day of their lives...
Until now. Mark and Jess, I am so proud of the marriage you have and the parents you are. You have a beautiful family and I love you all so much!

Mommy's Little Boy
06.15.10

Holly was referred to me by another client, and a couple of weeks ago she emailed me about getting pictures of her with her adorable 3-year old son, Jackson. She had seen my work, and she thought I could capture Jackson doing what 3-year olds do best -- run and play! We had an absolute blast at the park, and I was able to get both "natural portraits" and "real moments" -- something I strive for during every session, especially one with a 3-year old boy. I can hardly wait to share so here they are. Enjoy!
The moment I met Holly it was easy to see that she was so in love with her little man.
Isn't he so adorable!?! His little features are just perfect.
But it's easy to see where he gets it from. Mommy is beautiful!
And it's easy to see where she gets it from too. Holly's Mom, "Nana", also joined in for a few pictures. I think every girl should have a nice picture with her Mom.
Jackson loves his Nana. Too precious!
After getting some of the portraits out of the way, we let Jackson run the show. Literally. And that's when he forgot about the camera.
I'm so glad I could freeze these moments for Holly and Jackson, and Nana too.
Does this look like a kid having fun or what??
I'd say so. His laugh was so cute!
After a bunch of running, we found a big tree that Jackson could climb.
To be able to capture these natural smiles was the best. I never want a child to have to say "cheese".
To Jackson's Mom, Holly, thank you so much for trusting me to capture this moment in time for you. It was so great meeting you and your Mom...
...and of course sweet little Jackson. He is a dollbaby and I hope you love these as much as I do! Hugs! ~Kristine

Cousins + Parents + Grandparents
06.13.10

I recently had the chance to photograph the most adorable family of 9.
Brandy organized the session, and she and her husband Patrick have 2 beautiful boys, Tyler who is 4 and Aiden who is 11 months. Brandy's brother Allen and his wife Jacelyn have another beautiful boy, Cash (Tyler and Aiden's cousin), and he is 19 months. Throw in Brandy and Allen's parents (the boys' grandparents) and we have all 9. Oh, and Jacelyn and Allen are expecting a baby girl in September, so hopefully you'll be seeing more of this family (families) on the blog in the near future.
Here are a few of my early favorites as I am editing the whole shoot. Enjoy!
Meet gorgeous 4-year old Tyler...
His beautiful 19-month old cousin Cash with the sparkling eyes...
And the baby, Tyler's adorable little brother, Aiden.
Brandy mentioned wanting to capture the boys "in their element". And that meant exactly this. These boys are so close with their grandparents and it was so touching to witness.
I was also told that the pictures with "Pop" would be some of the favorites, so I made sure to capture some of him and his grandbabies.
They love him in a way that only a picture could describe. As in worth a thousand words.
He really makes them smile so genuinely. Love it!
We also got some great moments of the kids with their parents. Aiden loved being thrown in the air by his Mommy, Brandy.
And Tyler loved getting piggy back rides from Daddy, Patrick. I must have 5 versions of this shot - some looking at the camera, some not, but I just adore this one.
Cash and Mommy Jacelyn had a good time with the peeling tree...
And equally fun was time on the slide with his Daddy, Allen.
We even managed to get a few portraits. Such a sweet family shot!
But to get back to the kids... Brandy mentioned seeing some "eyelash pictures" I had on my blog, so I made sure to get some of her kids. Especially because her boys have AMAZING eyelashes. Here is Tyler from the side...
And Aiden from the front. Gorgeous!
Yes, these 3 cousins are beautiful, and they are reminding me that blogging is somewhat arbitrary. How do you choose what to share when you love them all?? :)
Thanks to the entire gang for asking me to capture these memories for you, and for braving the humidity. I had so much fun working with you and hope to see you all soon! Hugs! Kris

Tara and Terrence's Wedding
06.07.10

On Saturday May 22nd, Scott and I headed up to the Pocono's to photograph the destination wedding of Tara and Terrence. The wedding was held in the church that Tara grew up going to, and the reception was at an amazing ski resort called Bear Creek. Their day was absolutely perfect and filled with so much emotion, so of course I can't wait to share a few favorites. Many more to come soon. Enjoy!
I started the morning with photos of Tara at the hair salon.
There were so many great moments at the salon, but I really love this one because I can so relate. The moment the veil goes on, you immediately feel like a bride. So it hit Tara -- she was getting married -- and she shed a few tears.
Her veil was gorgeous...and so were her eyelashes.
And her shoes...
And her flowers and dress.
Yes, she definitely wore it well. She looks like a model. Beauty and brains -- Tara is in her last year of her OB/GYN residency.
Terrence was looking good too...
And I had to show this photo of his custom Irish cuff links that Tara gave him as a gift.
In keeping with their Irish heritage, they had a bagpiper playing outside of the church. Love that!
Onto the ceremony, I couldn't resist this photo of the little ring bearer walking down the aisle. He was all smiles...
And I couldn't resist this photo of Tara with her Dad. He was definitely getting choked up as he prepared to give his only daughter away.
This was Terrence's reaction as his teary-eyed bride approached him. I was focusing on Tara, so kudos to my husband Scott for grabbing this shot of Terrence.
I love when I can catch a cute moment of laughter during the ceremony.
And I love when couples do something to honor their families. These are Tara's parents. So so sweet!
Such happiness as they recessed back down the aisle. Love it!
Tara and Terrence's guests released butterflies after the ceremony, and the luck of the Irish was on their side when one landed right on Terrence's finger,
Then it was time for portraits. I caught a few members of the wedding party in the elevator -- fun!
And here is everyone. They were a blast!
Time for T-N-T alone. Aren't they so cute together?!!
It was raining just minutes before these photos, so I have to say that Tara rocks big time.
The grass was soaked but I promised her that "frolicking in the fields" would be so worth it. I think she'll agree. By the way, isn't Bear Creek incredible?!?
The first dance. I did my normal wide-angle shots to get the whole dance floor and wedding party in the background.
And Scott got close-ups with a telephoto lens. Love the emotion in these.
One of my favorites. Terrence's hand in the air is what really makes this shot for me. So funny!
After a few formalities, we got a group portrait of Terrence's family. He is the youngest of 7 kids, and he is the last to get married. Needless to say, it was an extra special day for their entire family. This is the "original 7" with their parents and their newest family member, Tara.
Terrence and his mom are so adorable.
And speaking of adorable, I thought I would show Tara doing a special waltz with her grandfather. It brought tears to my eyes. It was so good!
T and T - you know what they say. A couple that laughs together stays together, and this photo is proof that you will have a long happy marriage filled with lots of love and laughter. We are so happy for you, and so thankful to have been a part of your big day. Thanks and congratulations! Hugs! ~Kristine & Scott
